We bought a tow car! In order to really expand our adventures in Betty we have purchased a small tow car for the back of the motorhome. This was a big decision and adds to the fleet of vehicles we have with our own cars and motorhome. After much research we opted for the Fiat 500 S and spending a few weeks researching found a lovely little low mileage model not too far from home! Please say hello to our little Cherry! She has a nippy little 1.2 engine and will be great for our getaways and maybe the supermarket shopping too!

Tow Bar for the Motorhome
So our first job once we got the car was to arrange for a solid tow bar to be fitted. Hours of research led us to TrailerTrek in Coventry. https://www.trailertrek.co.uk is the link. A great installation took just 2.5 hours – to fit the Tow Trust TALK01 Al-Ko chassis specific tow bar unit to the back our Bailey Autograph 75-2. We could not recommend them highly enough.

One more job….. the ‘A’ Frame!
The final piece of the jigsaw has also been completed. A fabulous visit to the team at TOWtal, based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent was in order. From the initial reading of the website to the initial phone call – the advice, booking and installation all ran smoothly. A two hour drive in the Fiat but worth it! We opted for this install based on recommendation and the examples seen on the website and You Tube videos – cost was competitive at £1049 (as of January 2022) for the Fiat 500. A weekend test run to ensure all was working and that we were confident to drive with it behind us was completed shortly after fitting – our fears were quickly forgotten. We would highly recommend this team.
