Motorhome Market Updates

If you follow our You Tube channel www.youtube.com/@twoguystwodogsfourwheels you will know that we enjoy time exploring the motorhome market and like to give an impartial and independent view of what is happening with prices, where the best deals can be found and promote some of the lesser known dealers and what they have to offer!

For 2025 we have decided to keep a track of the used prices as we go through the year, following the average prices (bearing in mind a number of factors like mileage and conditions for example). We have stuck with manual models for this purpose and are looking across both Auto Trader and dealer websites for comparison. We shall bring this to life in our vlogs and update the spreadsheet as we go.

SPREADSHEET as of May 2025

Some notable changes for July 2025 are:

  • The biggest issue for dealers is the in stock unsold new models from across 2024 and 2025 that in some cases are languishing in the forecourts. They are also getting reductions – we think mainly as they are on the old Fiat cab – they look old now the new cab design is around in more frequency.
  • That there are about 250 less vehicles for sale – maybe the sunshine and summer months are encouraging people to get out and buy or upgrade.
  • Prices are lowering in some vehicles, notably in Swift at the moment and in particular the older Edge and Escape models.
  • Some main dealers still continue to be reluctant to want part exchanges, as a result these offers are lower in some cases reflecting the larger supply of vehicles.
  • There are lots of Elddis models that are both unregistered 2024 and new 2025 being reduced massively, impacting some remaining 2024 models and in turn the lowering of used. Choose wisely here! The Elddis models are taking a hit as there are over 300 NEW models unregistered and for sale. Consumer confidence is not there – and the new Avalon (which has a new aluminium construction) is already reduced from the off! Over priced? We thought so at the NEC show in February.
  • There a quite a few 2024 models still for sale in some continental vans and larger A Class. Most 2023 unregistered are pretty much all gone but the exception of Leisure World that has some 2022 and 2023 unregistered with big discounts.

Why have these videos proven so popular? What is helpful about them? Feedback in comments and from viewers we have met is that as we are coming at this from a buyer perspective (and we are on our fourth motorhome ourselves so have looked at a fair few) we offer that truly unbiased opinion. We know that some videos have helped buyers with actual purchases, find dealers they did not know existed and as such gives the buyer alternatives to the bigger, more taped about dealers that don’t always give you the best deal or customer service! Ultimately this is a hobby-cum- help for likeminded motorhome owners and buyers.
