An opportunity
It had to go and we needed to work on a plan to do this without too bigger a financial hit or pain! So, during a visit to the NEC for the Motorhome and Caravan Show we got the opportunity to speak with a number of dealers and explore what we could do if we wanted to buy a new Adria. We appreciate it is a lifestyle choice and buying new is not for everyone, but we had also researched the deals that were available for some of the extensive 2023 and 2024 (brand new unregistered model years) stock that was available. We had to weigh up a new 2025 model on the new Fiat Ducato against the old shape on the dealer forecourts. Having spent quite some time tracking vehicles it was clear that some models had been kicking around for a long time – this worried us – especially those that are always open to footfall and potential damage. Talks also quickly revealed that the part exchange against some of the stock they needed to clear in some dealers was no strong (we saw a variance of £12k between dealers for this!) and there was an apathy from some of the bigger ones to do a deal – that was disappointing as we were good to go and buy a new one. Talks with smaller dealers resulted in us visiting TMD Motorhomes to explore further what stock was coming in and what we could realise in part exchange.
